Certified ISO 56000 Advisor
A one-year certification to run internal audits and prepare organisations for ISO 56001.
Innovation360 has contributed to ISO/TC 279 since 2013 — the committee that built the entire ISO 56000 family. The Advisor programme transfers that expertise to you, end to end, in one year.
Named in Forrester
The Innovation Consulting Services Landscape, Q4 2025.
ISO/TC 279 since 2013
Active contributor to every standard in the ISO 56000 family.
45+ countries
Licensed Practitioners delivering globally since day one.
10,000+ organisations
World's largest innovation management database across 105 countries.
90% of executives say innovation is critical — yet only 6% say their efforts are working
The 84-point gap is why ISO 56001 was written. It gives organisations a structured, auditable Innovation Management System — repeatable, measurable, and globally recognised — so innovation stops being a lottery.
Innovation360 has been in the room shaping that system since 2013. The Certified ISO 56000 Advisor is how that expertise transfers directly to you.
What you become as a Certified ISO 56000 Advisor
Three concrete capabilities you walk away with — the audit mindset, the language of the standard, and the confidence to run the room.
Audit fluency
Read any ISO 56001 clause and translate a shall statement into four concrete audit tests. Decompose, not summarise.
Evidence craft
Judge whether evidence meets a shall. Distinguish conformity from proximity. Build a defensible audit trail.
Report authority
Deliver findings with intent, value, and capability framing — so leadership acts on the report, not files it.
Innovation360 — led by Magnus Penker & Sten Jacobson since day one
Innovation360 is the global firm behind the Certified ISO 56000 Advisor. Co-founded by Magnus Penker and Sten Jacobson — both active contributors to ISO/TC 279 since 2013 — Innovation360 is named in Forrester's The Innovation Consulting Services Landscape, Q4 2025, with Licensed Practitioners in 45+ countries and the world's largest innovation management database covering 10,000+ organisations across 105 countries.
The intellectual foundation is published in the Complete Guide to Business Innovation series — co-authored by Magnus Penker, Sten Jacobson, and Peter Junermark, with forewords by astronaut Christer Fuglesang and marketing legend Philip Kotler.

Three 2-hour sessions with Magnus Penker
Magnus personally delivers every live session — language precision, audit craft, delivery. You get insight not available in any published standard: the decisions, compromises, and direction that shaped ISO 56001 itself. Sessions are delivered in CET and ET time zones. Cohort capped at 20 for true interaction.
- Session 1 — The ISO language and the system's cascade
- Session 2 — The craft: shalls, evidence, method choice
- Session 3 — The delivery: report, intent, value, capability
- Homework cycles — cohort-wide live critique with Magnus between sessions
A specialised AI Coach — built for ISO 56001
Not a general chatbot. A domain-tuned professional tool trained specifically on the ISO 56000 family. Ask it to generate audit questions for a specific clause. Paste evidence and ask whether it meets the shall. Get plain-language explanations of tricky shall statements. Use it as a second brain during client interviews.
Every Advisor receives one year of continuous access — renewable annually with credential renewal. Updates during the year are included.
- Prompt design — audit questions for any ISO 56001 clause, any industry context
- Evidence evaluation — paste evidence, receive an ISO-grounded assessment
- Clause interpretation — plain-language explanations of complex requirements
- Live companion — a second brain during client interviews, with citation audit trail
- Always current — updated continuously as the ISO 56000 family evolves
- Your IP, not ours — conversations are yours, no training on your data
A state-of-the-art internal-audit template
Built by the Innovation360 team across a decade of ISO 56000 client work. Covers every ISO 56001 requirement — clause by clause, shall by shall. You receive the master template plus worked examples from real engagements.
Not a checklist. A working instrument: audit plan, evidence register, scoring rubric, finding report, and close-out. Tailored for internal audit teams who have to defend their work.
- Clause-by-clause coverage — every ISO 56001 requirement, nothing skipped
- Evidence register — structured capture of what you saw, where, and who signed off
- Scoring rubric — consistent judgement across auditors and cohorts
- Finding report — intent, value, capability framing leadership actually acts on
- Worked examples — real engagements, not toy cases

An optional path beyond the Advisor — the Licensed Practitioner accreditation
The Certified ISO 56000 Advisor is a standalone credential. For those who want the full Innovation360 methodology — all tools, all belts, official LP status, and access to the global network — the Licensed Practitioner accreditation is the next step. Four belts building from IMBA to Black Belt, each recognised by Harvard, Oxford, and IEEE.
IMBA — Basic
3-day online bootcamp. Foundation in innovation management and the Innovation360 framework.
IMYB — Yellow Belt
Applied practitioner. Run assessments and guide client engagements with full tool access.
IMGB — Green Belt
Senior practitioner. Lead complex engagements, transformation programmes, and portfolio work.
IMBB — Black Belt
Master practitioner. Innovation Connectivity, Mega Polls, faculty path. Stockholm in-person grading.
The LP accreditation is separate from the Advisor credential — and complementary. Advisors can pursue LP accreditation to gain access to the full Innovation360 tool suite, platforms, and global community. LP Practitioners can add the Advisor credential for formal ISO 56001 audit competence.
Frequently asked questions
The six questions we hear most often from prospective Advisors.
What is included in the EUR 900?
Everything. Three self-paced online courses, three 2-hour live sessions with Magnus Penker, one year of ISO 56000 AI Coach access, the internal-audit template, the written assignment, and the final exam. No add-ons, no upsells.
How much time do I need to commit?

Do I need prior audit experience?
No. The programme is built for both seasoned auditors expanding into innovation management and innovation practitioners learning the audit craft. Prior ISO or innovation exposure helps but is not required.
How is it delivered?
Online. Self-paced courses on My360, three 2-hour live sessions via Zoom, homework cycles with cohort-wide live critique, AI Coach accessible anytime. CET and ET time zones — cohort capped at 20.
How does renewal work?
The credential is valid one year. Annual renewal at a reduced rate keeps you current with updates to the ISO 56000 family and includes continued AI Coach access. You decide each year whether to renew.
Does Innovation360 certify organisations?
No. ISO 56001 organisational certification requires an accredited third-party body. Innovation360 equips Advisors with the data, methodology, AI Coach, and audit template to lead organisations through preparation — not certification itself.
